They say it is in our daydreams that our haunting submerged truths float to the top. This short film work explores the isolation and loneliness that suppressed trauma can hold and the power that compassion has to reach us. With Voice and Words by Award Winning Actor Lois Norman, we are witness to a hidden world, where a child’s comfort in Mermaids, allow a gentle space, for Adult hard truths. The Shell was a Finalist at Wales International Film Festival 2018 and is an Official selection for Brighton Rocks Film Festival 2019.
Lois Norman is a British/Australian Creative Artist, whose work focuses on the bravery and diversity of the human condition. Primarily, using the Female word and image as a lens, she explores and questions the truth of who we are and the strength it takes to be all of who we can dare to be. With a career in theatre and the word and a love of Art and the visual, she is currently enjoying Collaborations with a diverse range of Female Artists from all disciplines.
